The group's focus is learning the basic skills of patchwork and developing an understanding of how both fabrics and tools behave.

Topics will include basic equipment, introduction to rotary cutting, using a long ruler, cutting accurately, sewing a 1/4 inch seam.

A variety of blocks will be made which can be used to create items such as table mats and cushions.

Members are now moving on to individual projects using the basic skills they have learnt.
