This week’s 4.5 mile walk takes us around Nesscliffe and is graded as moderate. Starting from the Pine Car Park, we follow quiet lanes through Hopton, then cross open fields towards Ruyton-XI-Towns before climbing up to Nesscliffe Hill. At the top, we pause for a “banana break” and enjoy wide views across the Shropshire Plain. The route then takes in the main viewpoint near the reservoir before heading down through the woods. There are some uphill and uneven sections, so good boots and walking poles are advised.

Take the A5 out of Oswestry towards Shrewsbury, at the first roundabout at the end of the Nesscliffe by-pass turn left, towards the village of Nesscliffe.  (Don't go down the bypass) In about a mile turn left into Well lane, at the T junction turn right. The Pine car park is on the left at the top of the hill, but it's not sign posted.
