We walk every Monday morning and walks vary in length. During winter months we cover approximately 4-5 miles. Walking is a simple, low-impact exercise that offers numerous health benefits. It can help increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance. Unlike some other forms of exercise, walking does not require any special equipment or training, making it accessible and easy to start for members of all fitness levels. Our walks include roads, rural paths and fields, which may be steep and there may be stiles to climb over.
