Today we have a Moderate walk of approx. 3.7 miles on lanes, rated as Moderate. Rhydycroesau is a charming village steeped in history, nestled on the English-Welsh border. With evidence of Roman and early Anglo-Saxon settlements nearby, this village is a treasure trove for enthusiasts of ancient history. Its unique position means it straddles two countries, offering a blend of cultures in a picturesque setting. The name 'Rhydycroesau', meaning 'Ford of the Crosses', hints at its rich past.
| Directions are: Take the B4580 out of Oswestry, past the fire station and up towards the old racecourse. Continue on the B4580 which leads you to Rhydycroesau.
