Starting at Kings Nursery in Garthmyl along a RUPP (Road Used As a Public Path)to the canal then along the canal towards Welshpool. Carefully crossing the A483 to Vron Chapel. Then recrossing the A483 along another RUPP to the Golf course. Then across to the River Severn and back to the car park via the caravan park. Muddy and can be wet. Care needs to be taken on the A483 and when walking by the Severn. 3.5 miles.
This is part of the ongoing programme at Oswestry u3a, where members enjoy learning, sharing interests, and meeting like-minded people.
From Oswestry take the A483 after passing Welshpool, turn left in Garthmyl opposite the Nags Head, after approx half a mile turn right into Kings Nursery Car Park. Kings are happy and open for us to have coffee in the Greenhouse Cafe after the walk.
