We are pleased to welcome back Keith Offord, one of the UK’s leading field ornithologists and raptor specialists, to Oswestry u3a for a fascinating talk. Keith brings with him over 40 years of experience studying birds of prey in the wild. His lifelong dedication to wildlife has taken him from the uplands of Wales to remote corners of the world, observing and photographing birds in their natural habitats. With a warm and accessible style, Keith will guide us through the challenges and wonders of Welsh/Shropshire birds , behaviour, and conservation, enriched by his own photographs and fieldwork stories. Keith has also co-authored respected field guides, including Raptors of Britain and Ireland, and leads wildlife tours through his organisation, Wild Insights.

As well as his science and photography, Keith is a gifted guitarist—blending creativity with a passion for the natural world. This promises to be a truly engaging event for anyone interested in birds, wildlife, and the great outdoors.
