We are pleased to welcome member Pam Drewell for an illustrated talk about her recent visit to the remarkable country of Namibia. Drawing on her own experiences, Pam will take us on a journey through one of Africa's most striking landscapes, sharing the places she visited and the unforgettable sights she encountered along the way.
As well as describing her travels, Pam will explore the history of Namibia, from its early past through to the country's independence, helping us understand how its story has shaped the nation we see today. She will also introduce us to the people of Namibia, their traditions, cultures and daily lives, giving a fascinating insight into this diverse and welcoming country.
From the vast Namib Desert and dramatic sand dunes to the rich wildlife, spectacular scenery and unique natural wonders, Pam's talk promises to bring Namibia to life through photographs, stories and personal memories from her journey.
