Oswestry u3a is pleased to welcome back local author Dave Andrews to our upcoming Speaker Meeting. Dave will talk about his latest book, Chase to the Cut, the final novel in his popular Inspector Probert trilogy of locally set murder mysteries.

The story follows Detective Chief Inspector Gary Llewelyn Probert and his team as they investigate two incidents. One man is attacked in his hotel room on the outskirts of Oswestry, while another is murdered in Ellesmere during the town’s annual Winter Festival Lantern Parade. The police must discover whether the two events are linked and who is responsible. The investigation also uncovers a surprising connection to the Beatles, particularly John Lennon.

Chase to the Cut follows Dave’s earlier novels Each Slow Dusk and Bolt from the Black. Each book can be read as a standalone story, so there is no need to have read the earlier novels.
