The Oswestry u3a Art Group, based at the Guildhall, has been running for over 10 years. We are a friendly watercolour group who learn from each other, sharing ideas and skills in an encouraging setting. Each month we hold a workshop led by one of our own members, giving everyone a chance to explore new techniques and subjects.
During the summer months, we take our paints and sketchbooks outdoors, enjoying the opportunity to work in the fresh air and capture local scenes. We also try to visit at least one art exhibition each year for extra inspiration.
Our programme ends in December with our traditional Christmas lunch – a sociable way to round off the year together.

Our Group enjoyed an acrylic painting workshop, which proved popular with everyone who attended. Members had the chance to try different painting methods, share ideas, and learn new skills in a relaxed setting.
Our thanks go to Elaine Tulley for leading the session and for sharing her experience and knowledge with the group. Her guidance was much appreciated, and members came away with fresh ideas for future work.
