The idea is to try to simulate the experience of a visit to the opera as closely as possible in a domestic environment. Complete operas are relayed via a 75 inch TV screen, the sound being transmitted through high quality HiFi and speakers. Before Covid, visits were also made to the opera cinema theatre transmissions and the annual highlight is the garden party.

Operas range over the whole spectrum from G and S to Verdi, and from 17th to 20th centuries. Since the group started over 50 different operas have been presented, preceded by introductory remarks.
