If you are looking for a fun way to keep active, try something new and enjoy good company, Pickleball could be just the thing. This fast-growing game is easy to learn, quick to pick up and great fun to play. Our Oswestry u3a Pickleball group meets at Oswestry Sports and Leisure Centre, where members enjoy friendly sessions in a welcoming and relaxed setting.
Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis, using a paddle and a lightweight ball. It is suitable for a wide range of abilities, making it a great choice whether you are already active or simply looking for a new way to get moving. As well as helping with fitness, balance and coordination, it is also a very social game, with plenty of chat and laughter along the way.
Come and Try It
New members are always welcome, and you do not need to be an expert to join in. If you would like to give Pickleball a try, come along to Oswestry Sports and Leisure Centre and see what it is all about. You may just find your new favourite pastime. This is part of the ongoing programme at Oswestry u3a, where members enjoy learning, sharing interests, and meeting like-minded people.
