Join us for a great day out to the Welsh Coast catching the train from Welshpool for a scenic trip via Machynlleth to Aberdovey!

We’ll arrive around 11.15 and then climb up to the coastal path where we’ll have a break for a picnic lunch with great views overlooking the estuary and the coast towards Aberystwyth. After our break we’ll follow the path down over tracks and fields, across the golf course and dunes to the beach. At low tide the walk back to Aberdovey over the sands provides a great seaside panorama. The walk will be led by Mike and is just over 5 miles. It has quite a strenuous 700 foot climb to begin with but we’ll pause from time to time to catch our breath and enjoy the views over the town. For those who prefer a shorter walk or even just an amble around Aberdovey and the beach we’ll all meet up again in time for the train home around 3.30pm, or fish and chips and a later train at 5.30pm.
