Join the Oswestry u3a Walking Group for an easy-going walk led by Barbara in Shrewsbury. The route is about 3 miles and will take around 1 hour and 40 minutes at a gentle pace. We may see some salmon at the weir, but its a bit late in the year. We follow the popular “bridges walk” around the loop of the River Severn. Along the way we’ll pass Dana Prison, the Castle, Abbey Gardens, The Dingle, and the Quarry Park. The walk starts at the Frankwell suspension bridge and ends with a drink in the Boat pub garden before a short stroll back to the Frankwell car park.
Recommended car park is Frankwell, which is Pay and Display or you can use the Council App. Meet at the River suspension walkway entrance in the car park.
